Q: What does this service cost?

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept Cash, Check, American Express, Discover, Master Card, Visa, and PayPal.

Q: Do I have to be home for pick up or delivery?
A: No! One of the biggest conveniences of our service is that you do not have to be home.
Call or click to pre-arrange the service and products you need and we’ll take it from there.

Q: Can I exchange one of my cylinders for one of yours?
A: Yes, as long as it has an OPD (Overfilling Prevention Device) valve and is in proper operating condition as determined by our driver. An OPD valve is easy to recognize- it has a three sided handle stamped OPD on it at the top of the cylinder. The exchange is actually the most popular option.

 
Q: You mention on your Services Page that your cylinders are filled to capacity, not "15lbs net." What does that mean?
A: The steel cylinders that homeowners traditionally use are what is known as 20lb cylinders, which can hold up to 20lbs of propane. The companies that fill your cylinder to "15lbs net" are only filling it to 75% capacity. We fill them all the way. This can increase the amount of cooking time per cylinder by 25%!
 
 

Safety Questions & Answers

Q: Will you disconnect my cylinder and re-connect the replacement?
A: Yes, all you have to do is ask.

Q: Do you re-fill the cylinders at our home?
A: No, we fill them at our facility and deliver them to you.

Q: Will you repair leaks that are found on my equipment?
A: No, but we will tag whatever is leaking as “Out of Service, Do Not Use" and disconnect the propane cylinder.

Q: Will you refill a cylinder that does not have an OPD valve?
A: Cylinders without an OPD valve are obsolete and need to be taken out of circulation and disposed of. We'll be happy to supply you with an updated cylinder and dispose of your old one if you wish.

Q: How can I tell if my cylinder or appliance is leaking?
A: If you want to check it yourself, the easiest way is by smell. Propane has an additive that smells bad on purpose to alert you of its presence in the air. It has an odor similar to rotten eggs or sulfur. Another way to check is by putting soapy water on every seal, connection, and hose. If you see bubbles forming, you have a leak. If you are not comfortable doing this, we can check for you using our professional leak detection equipment.

Q: Is it safe to store my full cylinders in my garage or shed?
A: Cylinders containing propane should never be stored indoors. Always leave them outside, out of direct sunlight.

Q: You fill cylinders to capacity, but propane expands. Isn't filling to capacity unsafe?
A: No, the OPD valve prevents anyone from filling cylinders past the safe level. There is a float inside the cylinder that closes the valve automatically when it's full.
